About Us
The Phitathlon race was created in 2011 by Steve Pittroff, owner of PHIT Personal Training. In the little town of Marysville, he created the very first obstacle race the town has hosted. He has been a trainer for over 15 years, with workout knowledge earning him title of best trainer in central Ohio three consecutive years. The Phitathlon race sets itself apart from any other race of its kind. Other races that are comparable to this are very difficult, and the number of participants that can run them are low because they require such a high level of atheleticism. That is what makes the Phitathlon great. This race can be done by anyone, no matter your age or your size. There are volunteers at every obstacle to assist you and make sure you are able to complete. It is also a great place to meet new people from the town, and compete with friends. The Phitathlon is a very friendly environment, and members of the race are encouraged to bring friends along not only to have fun, but to push and motivate each other throughout the race.

Environment
In past years, the Phitathlon has taken place in multiple adjacent parks, including Schwartzkopf park, Mill Creek park, and Mill Valley South park, in Marysville, Ohio. These parks make for a great place for a race because they are shady, curvy, and there are open spaces between each that make for great areas for obstacles.
